Secondo Matt Drudge, il GOP ha realizzato uno spot pubblicitario per attaccare le ultime dichiarazioni ultra-pacifiste dei leader democratici. Nello spot, che il Republican National Committee dovrebbe distribuire nelle prossime ore alle sezioni locali del partito, "bandiere bianche" sventolano davanti ai volti di Howard Dean e John Kerry ripresi dalle telecamere mentre invocano il ritiro immediato dall'Iraq. "Gli unici con cui possiamo prendercela - ha ammesso uno stratega democratico interpellato da Drudge - sono Dean, Kerry e tutti gli altri che continuano a blandire gli attivisti pacifisti del nostro partito". According to Matt Drudge, GOP is ready to launch a television spot to attack last ultra-pacifist declarations of Democrat leaders: "The Republican National Committee will provide state parties with a web video prior to release tomorrow afternoon that shows a white flag waving over images of Democrat leaders making anti-war remarks". "We have no one to blame but Dean, Kerry and others who continue to pander to the anti-war activists within our party", admitted a Democratic strategist to Drudge. Finally GOP returns to attack.
